FLASHLIGHT It goes without saying, a very important part of your kit. Can be used for signaling for help, making repairs, all other activities in the dark.

JUMPER CABLES Can get your car started in the likelihood your battery goes dead.

SAFETY VEST Will improve your visibility if search and rescue personnel are looking for you.

NON-PERISHABLE FOOD AND WATER Can be a lifesaver in case you are involved in a longer than expected situation. These kinds of non-perishable foods are available in most camping and outdoor supplies stores.

It is also a good idea to always carry a cellphone and auto cellphone charger with you at all times. In addition, always let someone know where you are going, in case you run into trouble. Lastly, flares could be used to signal for help if needed.
